Emerging Issues is a series of 90 minute educational and discussion-based sessions that looks at events and trends that will shape society in the future.  Artificial Intelligence will be the first in the Emerging Issues Series.  Emerging Issues will follow a similar format to Great Decisions, with prereading assignments, followed by in person presentations and discussion groups.

Week 1, Monday, April 10, 2-3:30pm -- Overview of Artificial Intelligence and the case for the “Upside” view of A.I.

Week 2, Monday, April 17, 2-3:30pm -- The Mysteries and Potential Dangers of Artificial Intelligence

Week 3, Monday, April 24, 2-3:30pm -- Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Regulation

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!  All participants must have an active Summit County Library card.  Library cards are free for Summit County residents/employees and $25/year for nonresidents. Class size is limited to 30 participants, first come first served.

All classes will be held in the Auditorium of the Kimball Junction Branch Library, and we ask that participants commit to attending all three classes.
