This month we'll be watching the film Concrete Cowboy (R, 111 minutes) on our own through Netflix and having a discussion about the book and film over Zoom. The film is based on the novel Ghetto Cowboy by G. Neri. The e-book and book are available to check out. Synopsis: Sent to live with his estranged father for the summer, a rebellious teen finds kinship in a tight-knit Philadelphia community of Black cowboys.
