About this event

Exploring the symbols of Hoytsville!

Registrants will dig into the history and culture of Hoytsville and the surrounding North Summit area, sharing memories, experiences, historical figures, and important sites, under the guidance of international mural artist Sasha Primo. The workshop activities will spark our creativity and imagination, carrying out playful and fun activities that will help participants draw, debate, reflect, and share. The creative findings will serve as the basis for the historical mural, which will be painted on the side of the Summit County Public Works Building in Hoytsville/Wanship. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting creative process.

No drawing ability is required! Please bring an object that has personal value for you with an interesting story behind it that you would like to share.

While all Summit County residents are welcome to participate, Hoytsville and greater North Summit are residents are highly encouraged to attend!

Please note that Community Workshop #1 is the same content as Community Workshop #2, so please do NOT sign up for both!
